National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) New England Region

Connecting librarians, health professionals, and public health workers with health information in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

The mission of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) is to advance the progress of medicine and improve the public health by providing all U.S. health professionals with equal access to biomedical information and improving the public's access to information to enable them to make informed decisions about their health.

The NN/LM New England Region serves as a vehicle to increase equal access to health information for all in the communities where they live, work, learn, and play. The University of Massachusetts Medical School, located in the “heart of the Commonwealth,” uniquely carries out the mission of the NN/LM for the New England Region through a variety of innovative approaches including Focused Health Information Outreach, Communities of Interest, the eScience Program, and the Public Health Information Access (PHIA) Project.
